The following categories of registrants are eligible to vote in all business sessions and are considered accredited delegates: Official Worker, Lay Delegate, Bi-vocational Worker, International Worker. Accredited Delegates will receive an email by Tuesday, June 28th from Simply Voting with login instructions and instructions for doing a test vote. The email will appear to be from The Alliance Canada, with the subject “General Assembly 2022”. If you have not received your login email by Tuesday, please contact: [email protected]
All votes in the business sessions will be conducted using Simply Voting. While in the meeting, each delegate will need to be logged into Simply Voting, either on their cell phone, tablet, or on a separate tab on their web browser. Delegates will need to use this platform for each vote in the meeting as they are conducted.
Please remember to bring a smart phone, tablet, or laptop with you to business sessions to participate in electronic voting. Online participants should be prepared to use two devices (ex. watch Assembly on laptop and vote on smart phone) or use two separate tabs on a web browser to participate in electronic voting (ex. watch Assembly on one tab, Simply Voting website on second tab).

Online Debate Participation
Online delegates will have the ability to participate in debate at business sessions. During debate, delegates will have the opportunity to join Mic 3 or Point of Order breakout room to indicate their interest to speak. These delegates will be added to the speaker list and moved into the speaker ready room for a mic and camera check. They will then be put back into the main session to be called upon by the Moderator. When called upon to speak, the delegate should unmute their mic and their image will be projected onto the screen for all onsite and online delegates to see.
